Founded in 1988
Haley’s Flooring & Interiors, Inc., formerly, Carpet Systems of Huntsville, was founded by Carter and Nancy Haley in October of 1988. Carpet Systems began in a small office space off of Drake Avenue doing commercial flooring work for local businesses within the Huntsville area.
Along with Carter and Nancy, their oldest son, Chris, embarked on this journey with them. Within two years, our business expanded into the retail market moved to a small retail space, and began servicing the public with flooring and installation needs.
As our family business continued to grow, the need for more employees and a larger facility was inevitable. Michael, the youngest son, joined us during this transition, and we eventually moved into our current location on Bob Wallace Avenue.
2000 & Beyond
Our building allowed us to offer more products in the home interiors arena, including furniture, home accessories, custom blinds, window coverings, and even Liberty Safes.
Then, in 2010, Chris’s wife, Kristi, joined the team and began helping our business develop marketing plans that would help reach consumers in new and innovative ways. Haley’s again continued to grow, and our goal was to help simplify the renovating, decorating, remodeling, and building process, so as 2011 approached, we added a new cabinet and granite/quartz division with in-house fabricating...the final step to becoming a “one-stop” shopping solution for North Alabama consumers.
Along with the addition of new warehouses, employees, and divisions of Haley’s, a third-generation Haley, Abby, graduated from The University of Alabama and came home to work for the family business as well.
Today
Today, Haley’s commercial division continues to service many of the builders, businesses, and industries in our area with a dedicated administrative, sales, and warehouse team, while our retail division services the North Alabama area offering in-home design services, flooring, cabinets, granite/quartz countertops, installation, furniture, home decor and accessories, window coverings, textiles, and Liberty safes.
In January of 2020, Carter and Nancy retired from the business, passing the torch on to their two sons, Chris, now serving as President and CEO, and Michael, Vice President, and CFO along with longtime employee Adam Rogers, Vice President.
As new owners of the business and all the challenges that came with 2020, these three worked hard to continue the legacy set forth by Carter and Nancy. And, another legacy was also passed on when Nancy’s granddaughter, Abby, took over as Haley’s Interiors Showroom Manager. What began in that small office with 3-4 employees has expanded and grown into an 80 + employee business continuing to strive for excellence in all we do.
